Judgment: The decision of a court. Judgment creditor: The party in a lawsuit who has won a money judgment against the debtor. Judgment debtor: A person who owes a money judgment. Judicial notice: The doctrine by which the court accepts certain matter without the introduction of evidence. Jurisdiction: The authority of a court to hear a case or conduct other proceedings. Justice of the peace: A judicial officer having jurisdiction of a limited nature over minor cases, both civil and criminal. |
